Tuition and Fees


The tuition rate for 2018-2019 academic year has not been set.  Tuition is for the entire masters program, for 3 full time semesters. There are 3 semesters per academic year (fall, spring, summer). See the grid below for approximate costs for attending the program.

A laptop is required as it is an integral part of the program. Mobility is also an important part of the program. You and your team may meet in different parts of campus, as well as being asked to present your final deliverables from your laptop. You are able to use one that you already own, or can purchase one from the Carnegie Mellon Computer Store or other retailers. Please see the FAQ web page for the preferred laptop configuration.

Financial Aid

Funding through grants or fellowships is currently not available through this program. Below you will find some alternative sources for scholarships and grants.

The Fellowship Resource Advising Center (FRAC) assists Carnegie Mellon students in fulfilling their intellectual and professional goals by promoting awareness of external scholarship and fellowship opportunities, and providing advice and support to students who apply for these awards.
