To allow students to take advantage of learning opportunities in the University, each student is required to take the equivalent of one University course (12 units or TWO 6 unit mini-semester courses) IN BOTH THE SPRING AND SUMMER SEMESTERS, in addition to the tasks for a total of two full courses or four mini courses, totaling at least 24 units. ONLY GRADUATE COURSES CAN BE USED TO SATISFY THE ELECTIVE REQUIREMENT.
In the FALL SEMESTER students are permitted to register for 08-723 Law of Computer Technology.
MSIT eBusiness students who test out of 08-671 JAVA J2EE Programing (6 unit) will be permitted to register for a 6 unit elective course related to eBusiness.
MSIT eBusiness students who test out of 08-671 JAVA J2EE Programing (6 unit) AND 08-672 J2EE Web Application Development will be permitted to register for two 6 unit elective course not in the same Mini (one course in Mini 1 AND one course in Mini 2) or a 12 unit elective course related to eBusiness.
PRIOR TO REGISTERING FOR ANY ELECTIVE COURSE, students MUST obtain approval of their course schedule from the Associate Director.
